I just got this plea to save a small terrier:
I'm writing on behalf of a little adorable 11 pound female young (maybe 2 yr old) dog that was hit by a car on the freeway and brought to PMC with a broken leg. She's so sweet that even with the fracture she's never growled or bitten. She pale beige and a terrier mix. She's on her way to the West LA Shelter and will be euthanized by them unless someone or some rescue group will take her and contribute to the cost of surgery to repair her leg. Her name is Emmy and her impound # is : 1010336.. If you can get the word out it'd be great. More info would be available at PMC from Drs. Annie Hernandez or Michael Yuan at 310-393-8218. Cute Little Terrier Just Needs a Wheelchair
I know someone who made a wheelchair for their 2-legged dog and now he gets around fine. Sounds like that's just what this spinal-injury dog needs. What a cutie. I'm sure he'll be great for someone.
A1009513 -- 1 year old male terrier pup who is absolutely adorable! He was probably hit by a car and is suffering spinal injuries that are causing him to drag his hind legs. He can still stand and walk and is otherwise very happy and healthy! The medical staff at North Central is treating him with medication and acupuncture and he has already shown improvement. He is incredibly sweet and loving and needs a good home. (NOT AVAILABLE TIL 2/11 MEDICAL ASKED TO BLAST).

Two Little Dogs With Urgent Medical Needs at North Central
A1008393 -- 3 year old female chihuahua who has a luxation of the left hip and several old fractures of the right hind leg. Despite her many injuries she is as sweet as a button and manages to get around fine . She will most likely need a simple orthopedic surgery for her left hip and is otherwise very happy and active and will make a great family pet.
A1008179 -- Vito is an adorable 12 year old male neutered Shih Tzu who has typical geriatric dog problems -- he has bad dental disease, cannot see very well, and is weak in his hind legs. But he loves people and walks, is always affectionate and wagging his tail, and loves to eat! Please give him a chance at a loving home!
